Hemi RPC Endpoint
Flat-rate Hemi RPC provider and Hemi RPC node access: free tier, no KYC, HTTP & WebSocket. Hemi mainnet chain ID 43111.
https://rpc.swiftnodes.io/rpc/hemi?key=YOUR_API_KEYwss://rpc.swiftnodes.io/ws/hemi?key=YOUR_API_KEYHemi is an OP Stack-based Ethereum layer 2 that adds Bitcoin awareness to the EVM through its Hemi Virtual Machine (hVM). It uses ETH for gas and anchors its state to Bitcoin with a Proof-of-Proof (PoP) protocol.

Hemi developer facts, measured
- Block time:
- ~12 s (average of the last 1,000 blocks)
- Finality:
- the finalized tag trails the head by ~122 blocks (~24 min)
- eth_getLogs range:
- 50,000-block ranges accepted (the largest we test)
- Historical state:
- readable at least 1,000,000 blocks back

About Hemi
Hemi's public mainnet launched on March 12, 2025. The hVM embeds an indexed view of Bitcoin inside the EVM, and the Hemi Bitcoin Kit (hBK) gives contracts access to Bitcoin state. PoP miners publish Hemi state to Bitcoin, which Hemi calls superfinality, and Tunnels move assets between Bitcoin, Hemi and Ethereum.
Standard EVM tooling works, and Bitcoin data is read through hVM precompiles and the hBK contracts. Developers should note that L2BEAT lists the fraud proof system as still in development, and that on June 1, 2026 an hVM precompile call in a force-included transaction crashed the sequencer and halted block production until it was fixed.
Common Use Cases on Hemi
- BTC-backed DeFi and lending
- Contracts that read Bitcoin state
- Bridging assets between Bitcoin and Ethereum
- Bitcoin yield products

Frequently Asked Questions: Hemi
What is the Hemi chain ID?
Hemi mainnet uses chain ID 43111 (hex 0xa867).
How do smart contracts on Hemi read Bitcoin data?
Through the hVM, which keeps an indexed view of Bitcoin available to the EVM via precompiles, and the Hemi Bitcoin Kit (hBK) contracts that wrap them.
What is the gas token on Hemi?
ETH.
