Hedera's EVM endpoint exposes Ethereum JSON-RPC on chain ID 295. HBAR is the native gas asset, and standard Solidity and JSON-RPC tooling can connect without a custom transport.

About Hedera

Hedera is a public distributed ledger that uses the Hashgraph consensus algorithm rather than a conventional blockchain. Its EVM service provides an Ethereum-compatible execution environment for Solidity contracts and familiar RPC tooling.

HBAR pays gas and network fees. The EVM representation uses 18 decimals, while Hedera's native ledger also exposes HBAR through its own APIs and SDKs.
