Ethereum Hoodi RPC Endpoint
Chain ID 560048. Ethereum's testnet for validators, staking and client releases, the successor to Holesky.
Online right now, checked every 2 minutes. WebSocket: available.

The same API key works here and on Ethereum mainnet, and testnet requests count toward your plan like any other request. The free plan includes testnets. Going to mainnet means changing eth-hoodi to eth in the URL.

Hoodi launched in March 2025 to replace Holesky as Ethereum's testnet for staking, validator operations and client releases. Network upgrades reach Hoodi before mainnet, so it is where staking providers and infrastructure teams rehearse them.
It runs the same 12-second slots as mainnet. Our measured average of 13.3 seconds over 200 blocks is above 12 because some slots had no block, which happens whenever the validator for that slot misses its turn.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Hoodi chain ID?
560048, or 0x88bb0 in hex.
Is Hoodi replacing Holesky?
Yes. Hoodi took over Holesky's role as the staking and validator testnet in 2025. Contracts and apps generally belong on Sepolia.
Is the Hoodi RPC endpoint free?
Yes. The free plan covers Hoodi at 20 requests per second and 250,000 requests a month, on the same key as every other chain.
Why is Hoodi's average block time above 12 seconds?
Slots are 12 seconds, but a slot whose validator misses its turn has no block. Over the 200 blocks we measured, the average gap was 13.26 seconds.
