trace_transaction on Optimism

Measured 2026-10-04 by our weekly probe, which calls trace_transaction through the same Optimism endpoint customers use.

What trace_transaction does

Returns the Parity-style trace of one transaction: every internal call, creation and value transfer it caused. It is the usual tool for debugging a transaction after it has been mined.

trace_transaction on Optimism: what we measured

• Default Optimism routing keeps state for roughly the last 1,000,000 blocks (about 23.1 days of Optimism history). Tracing a transaction older than that needs historical state. Archive routing did not measure as available on this chain.
