trace_transaction
Returns the full Parity trace tree for a single transaction — every internal call, creation, and value movement it caused. Where eth_getTransactionReceipt confirms the outcome, trace_transaction shows the mechanism: which contracts called which, with what value, in what order.
The standard tool for debugging complex transactions after the fact and for indexers reconstructing internal transfers. Part of the Parity trace trio — pair it with trace_filter for range scans and trace_block for block-wide sweeps. As with the rest of the namespace, OP Stack and most zk chains do not serve it.
