About Creditcoin
Creditcoin started as a network that matches borrowers and lenders and records loan activity as a shared credit history. Its EVM-compatible mainnet launched in August 2024, adding smart contracts to the existing Substrate chain. A Universal Smart Contract layer is planned so contracts can read events from other chains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Creditcoin uses two account types. Substrate accounts handle staking and bonding CTC, and only EVM accounts can call smart contracts and hold user-defined tokens. RPC users on chain ID 102030 work with the EVM side using standard Ethereum tooling.
