Etherlink RPC Endpoint

Flat-rate Etherlink RPC provider and Etherlink RPC node access: free tier, no KYC, HTTP & WebSocket. Etherlink mainnet chain ID 42793.

Etherlink is an EVM-compatible, non-custodial layer 2 on Tezos built with Tezos Smart Rollups, settling to Tezos and using XTZ as its gas token. Since the Etherlink 7.0 upgrade in August 2026 it also exposes a Michelson interface alongside the EVM.

About Etherlink

Etherlink Mainnet Beta was originated on Tezos on May 15, 2024 and exited beta on February 25, 2025. Upgrades are decided by on-chain governance; Etherlink 7.0 (Ganesha) activated on August 21, 2026, adding a Michelson interface and Native Atomic Composability so Michelson and EVM contracts can call each other in one transaction. This is the first step of Tezos X, which evolves Etherlink into Tezos' execution layer rather than replacing it.

Developers can use standard Ethereum wallets, Solidity and EVM JSON-RPC tooling. A sequencer operator orders transactions and gives fast soft confirmations, while data availability and settlement come from Tezos L1. Fees are paid in XTZ.

Common Use Cases on Etherlink

  • Low-fee DeFi priced in XTZ
  • EVM apps that interact with Tezos Michelson contracts
  • Bridging assets between Tezos L1 and EVM chains
  • Payments and high-frequency trading apps

Frequently Asked Questions: Etherlink

What is the Etherlink chain ID?

The Etherlink mainnet chain ID is 42793 (0xa729).

What is the gas token on Etherlink?

XTZ, the Tezos native token. Etherlink settles to Tezos rather than Ethereum.

Can EVM contracts on Etherlink call Michelson contracts?

Yes, since Etherlink 7.0 activated on August 21, 2026. Native Atomic Composability lets EVM and Michelson contracts call each other within the same atomic transaction.
