Fantom RPC Endpoint
Flat-rate Fantom RPC provider and Fantom RPC node access: free tier, no KYC, HTTP & WebSocket. Fantom mainnet chain ID 250.
https://rpc.swiftnodes.io/rpc/fantom?key=YOUR_API_KEYwss://rpc.swiftnodes.io/ws/fantom?key=YOUR_API_KEYFantom Opera is the original Fantom layer 1, a proof-of-stake chain using the DAG-based Lachesis aBFT consensus and FTM for gas. Its ecosystem has moved to Sonic, the successor network launched by Sonic Labs in December 2024.

About Fantom
Opera's genesis block was produced in December 2019. After Sonic launched, validators, liquidity and most apps migrated there, and FTM can be swapped 1:1 for Sonic's S token. Sonic Labs announced in April 2026 that Opera would be retired on June 30, 2026, but on June 23, 2026 new leadership reversed that, keeping Opera live until at least the end of 2026 with the FTM to S bridge funded.
Opera is EVM-compatible and works with standard Ethereum tooling. New development targets Sonic, so Opera RPC access mainly serves historical data, asset migration and legacy contracts; Sonic Labs has said Opera chain history will be preserved.
Common Use Cases on Fantom
- Migrating FTM to S on Sonic
- Querying historical Opera data
- Maintaining legacy contracts and indexers
- Withdrawing from legacy DeFi positions
