OKT Chain (OKTC), formerly OKExChain and OKC, was OKX's Layer 1 built on the Cosmos SDK with EVM support, using OKT for gas. OKX retired it in favor of X Layer, and OKX ended support for the chain on January 1, 2026.

About OKT Chain

The network launched in 2021 as OKExChain, was renamed OKC and then OKT Chain, and ran delegated proof of stake with OKT holders electing validators. In 2025 OKX said OKTChain overlapped with X Layer and wound it down: OKT trading on OKX ended on August 13, 2025, balances were converted to OKB on August 15, staking rewards stopped in September, and the chain shut down on January 1, 2026.

Developers should treat OKTC as retired. X Layer, which uses OKB as its gas token, is OKX's remaining public network, and applications that ran on OKTC should migrate there or to another EVM chain.
