eth_gasPrice on Core
Everything below was measured on 2026-10-13 by calling eth_gasPrice on Core through the same endpoint customers use, and is re-measured weekly.
What eth_gasPrice does
Returns the node's suggested gas price in wei for a legacy (type 0) transaction. On EIP-1559 chains it is usually the current base fee plus a suggested tip, which can sit well above what transactions actually pay.
eth_gasPrice on Core: what we measured
| eth_gasPrice | 60.00 gwei |
|---|---|
| Base fee of the latest block | 0 wei |
| eth_maxPriorityFeePerGas | 60.00 gwei |
| Median tip paid (last 1 blocks) | 0 wei |
Should you use it?
Transactions paid no base fee or tip in recent blocks, yet eth_gasPrice suggested 60.00 gwei.
