eth_gasPrice on Gnosis
Everything below was measured on 2026-10-13 by calling eth_gasPrice on Gnosis through the same endpoint customers use, and is re-measured weekly.
What eth_gasPrice does
Returns the node's suggested gas price in wei for a legacy (type 0) transaction. On EIP-1559 chains it is usually the current base fee plus a suggested tip, which can sit well above what transactions actually pay.
eth_gasPrice on Gnosis: what we measured
| eth_gasPrice | 10 wei |
|---|---|
| Base fee of the latest block | 10 wei |
| eth_maxPriorityFeePerGas | 1 wei |
| Median tip paid (last 20 blocks) | 100 wei |
Should you use it?
eth_gasPrice (10 wei) was below the base fee plus the median tip paid (110 wei). A legacy transaction at that price pays less tip than most and can wait longer when blocks are busy; set maxPriorityFeePerGas from eth_feeHistory if inclusion time matters.
